 Ian Jamieson - Technical Director

After graduating from Heriot-Watt University Ian joined the Admiralty as a Scientific Officer, and left Qinetiq as a Consultant Engineer some 22 years later. He was awarded Chartered Physicist status in 2000 by the Institute of Physics and after 6 years in the oil & gas sector he joined Pulcea in September 2017 to apply his maritime engineering expertise to the rapidly developing aquaculture industry.

Rachel Brown - Veterinary Project Manager

Graduating from the University of Edinburgh’s Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in 2011, Rachel is an accomplished veterinary surgeon and she is particularly motivated by the application of biomedical innovation to enhance animal health and welfare. She has a wealth of experience within the veterinary sector, having worked in the UK and overseas in mixed, small and large animal practice. In 2016 Rachel progressed from clinical practice to the Animal Health Industry by joining a leading diagnostic imaging company as a Clinical Manager to aid development of ultrasound technology in the veterinary market. She joins the Pulcea team as a KTP Associate on a 3 year placement with the University of Stirling and she is based at the Roslin Innovation Centre.

Ian ARMSTRONG - managing Director

Ian first worked on an Atlantic salmon farm some 40 years ago and subsequently held various management positions as a salmon farmer and processor in Scotland and Chile. He formed his independent consultancy, Nevis Marine Ltd, in 2002 and has since worked with a number of partners successfully delivering innovative projects to the international Atlantic salmon industry.
