Ian Jamieson - Technical Director

After graduating from Heriot-Watt University Ian joined the Admiralty as a Scientific Officer, and left Qinetiq as a Consultant Engineer some 22 years later. He was awarded Chartered Physicist status in 2000 by the Institute of Physics and after 6 years in the oil & gas sector he joined Pulcea in September 2017 to apply his maritime engineering expertise to the rapidly developing aquaculture industry.

 
 
 

Dr. Hannah Wells - Development Engineer

Hannah joined Pulcea shortly after graduating with an Engineering Doctorate from the University of Strathclyde. The doctorate was in the medical devices field, focusing on biomechanics. Prior to this, Hannah obtained a First Class Honours Degree in mechanical engineering with international studies at University of Strathclyde with a semester in Luleå Tekniska Universitet (Sweden).

 
 
 

Ian ARMSTRONG - managing Director

Ian first worked on an Atlantic salmon farm some 40 years ago and subsequently held various management positions as a salmon farmer and processor in Scotland and Chile. He formed his independent consultancy, Nevis Marine Ltd, in 2002 and has since worked with a number of partners successfully delivering innovative projects to the international Atlantic salmon industry.
