Who we are
We are a UK based company working with a selection of international partners developing innovative solutions to fish welfare challenges utilising a physics-driven approach.
Ian first worked on an Atlantic salmon farm some 40 years ago and subsequently held various management positions as a salmon farmer and processor in Scotland and Chile. He formed his independent consultancy, Nevis Marine Ltd, in 2002 and has since worked with a number of partners successfully delivering innovative projects to the international Atlantic salmon industry.
After graduating from Heriot-Watt University Ian joined the Admiralty as a Scientific Officer, and left Qinetiq as a Consultant Engineer some 22 years later. He was awarded Chartered Physicist status in 2000 by the Institute of Physics and after 6 years in the oil & gas sector he joined Pulcea in September 2017 to apply his maritime engineering expertise to the rapidly developing aquaculture industry.
